The AMERICAN PATRICK cover won his second Jamaica Open title following a dramatic final day at Hanover’s try-all, fending off a resilient rally from compatriot Josh Anderson.
Cover, who entered the final day with a 7 stroke margin, won the final round by 4 strokes with 2 under par and 70 strokes and 13 under par with a total of 203 strokes.
Josh Anderson made the final day interesting after posting a staggering 7 under par 65 in this round and finishing second with a total of 9 under par 207.
Defending champion Michael McKeea finished third after a 4-under par 68 in the final round, finishing five shots off the leaders for a total of 208.
Martin Benjamin from Trinidad finished in the top four with 212 4-under.
Jamaican pro Wesley Brown had to settle for a tie for 15th after a total of 219 rounds, including one in the final round.
Justin Burroughs maintained his lead to win the amateur title after hitting a par 73 in one over to finish with a total of 219 over three overs.
Sandre Royet finished second with a total of 6 overs on par 222 and William Knives finished 3rd after 10 overs on par 226.
Canada’s Mikahel Moniz won the Senior Pro title with a 20-over par 226, while Jamaica’s Owen Samuda won the Senior Amateur title with a 21-over par 227.
